The Johnstown Estate Hotel is a luxurious four-star hotel, seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will ensure smooth, efficient service and maintain the highest standards across all departments.
Key Responsibilities
* Operational Leadership: Manage daily operations, including food and beverage, front office, housekeeping, spa, and other departments, ensuring efficient functioning and high-quality guest experiences.
* Guest Satisfaction: Drive customer-centric service, addressing guest feedback and complaints in a timely manner to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
* Staff Management: Lead, train, and motivate departmental managers and their teams, fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and high performance.
* Budget & Financial Management: Collaborate with the Deputy General Manager to monitor and manage department budgets, control costs, and drive profitability while maintaining quality standards.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all hotel operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Oversee regular safety audits and address any concerns promptly.
* Service Standards: Work closely with department heads to maintain and improve service standards across the hotel, conducting regular checks and implementing best practices where necessary.
* Inventory & Supplies: Oversee inventory control and purchasing to ensure that all hotel departments are adequately stocked while maintaining cost-efficiency.
* Event & Conference Operations: Coordinate with the events team to ensure seamless execution of events, weddings, conferences, and other functions, aligning resources and operational plans to deliver exceptional experiences.
* Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control processes to uphold the hotel's reputation for excellence.
* Sustainability Initiatives: Support and lead initiatives aimed at promoting sustainability and reducing the hotel's environmental impact.

Qualifications & Experience

* Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating teams in a hospitality setting.
* Degree or diploma in hospitality management, business, or a related field is preferred.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, financial management, and guest service excellence.
