The project:
We are looking for a potential candidate for client engineer to work in a customer-facing role for future offshore wind projects. The ideal candidate will have offshore wind power experience; however, offshore oil and gas experience may be considered. The potential candidate will be able to utilize engineering support services through EirGrid frameworks.
You’ll be responsible for:
1. Demonstrating the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative work environment.
2. Demonstrating enthusiasm to drive development and delivery of large infrastructure projects.
3. Identifying and managing stakeholders, and ensuring regular and timely communications at all levels.
4. Ability to work collaboratively with customers and stakeholders.
5. Ensuring that appropriate project controls are in place within the team having regard to budgets, schedule, scope, quality risk and other performance indicators.
6. Preparing and updating formal project progress reports such as monthly reports including financial, budget and project schedule reporting.
7. Ability to analyze issues, exercising judgment to make decisions and escalate as appropriate.
8. Supporting improvement of processes, procedures and systems.
9. Development of governance papers and reports to support the approval process.
10. Managing Risks and Issues and escalate appropriately.
You’ll need to have:
1. Substantial experience as a geotechnical engineer along with experience with offshore substation platforms – mechanical, structural.
2. Digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams.
3. A construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace has to offer.
