Job Title: Site Engineer
Description:
The ideal candidate will have strong setting-out experience and be able to manage subcontractors. The role involves working on a large-scale building project in Galway, with the opportunity to expand operations in the west and work regionally beyond this project.
Duties:
Setting-out from engineers drawings, site surveys, as-built drawings; reading and interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.
Management of subcontractors/general workforce on site; planning works in an efficient manner to ensure programme targets are achieved;
Liaising with clients representatives/design team members as appropriate;
Ensuring that all works are carried out to the highest health and safety standards;
Ensuring work is carried out to the highest quality standards;
Ordering and control of materials on site;
Maintaining the site records, including the site diary, concrete cube register, records of deliveries etc.
Requirements:
An engineering degree or diploma;
Experience on RC frame building projects;
Proficiency in using an engineer's level, EDM/total station;
A minimum of 3 years' experience with a main building contractor in Ireland or the UK;
Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills;
Self-motivation to deliver on safety, quality, and programme;
Ability to work as part of a team;
A full driving license.
