We are seeking an experienced Chief II Pharmacist to join this dynamic team.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the hospitals pharmacy services.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring a safe and efficient drug distribution system.
Overseeing the smooth operation of the dispensary.
Developing and maintaining a robust clinical pharmacy service within the hospital.

As the Chief II, you will: Support the principle that care of the service user comes first at all times and will approach their work with the flexibility and enthusiasm necessary to make this principle a reality for every patient to the greatest possible degree Ensure the needs of the patients and professional staff are being adequately met by the pharmaceutical service and are delivered in a manner that respects privacy and confidentiality Perform as the superintendent and supervising pharmacist of the Pharmacy and to be the clinical and operational manager of the Pharmacy Department Provide advice and information to the relevant healthcare staff on best practice in relation to all aspects of medicines management Provide information or reports that meets the need of the CEO or Management or other stakeholders as required
Essential Requirements:
Be a registered Pharmacist with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) Have at least Five years satisfactory post registration hospital experience Possess a high standard of administrative, managerial or business ability Possess the requisite knowledge and ability (Including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
The ability to successfully manage a range of different projects and work activities concurrently, utilising computer technology effectively and assigning work to others as appropriate to meet strict deadlines The ability to proactively identify areas for improvement and to develop practical solutions for their implementation Good communication and interpersonal skills Good organisational skills to include the ability to plan, implement and manage projects and workloads Proactive, enthusiastic and innovative in their outlook To hear more about this role please call Roisin on or email your updated CV to discuss further Skills: Chief II Pharmacist
