As a Project Manager you will join a team of industry professionals and take responsibility for the delivery of water infrastructure projects throughout Ireland. You will have the opportunity to join a leading Global Engineering Consultancy and help them deliver professional services to the water/wastewater sector in Ireland.
A high level of autonomy is associated with this position. You will have the opportunity to work from home, while some site visits will be required for meetings etc. You will hold experience within wastewater projects.
As Project Manager, your duties will include but not be limited to:
1. Support the advancement of 8 separate water projects in the Greater Dublin area that are scheduled for investment approvals.
2. Leading project teams to deliver wastewater infrastructure projects within agreed scope, timeframes and budgets.
3. Manage HSQE, ensuring appointment and monitoring of Project Supervisors to promote a proactive safety culture with prompt resolution of issues arising from inspections, accidents and incidents.
4. Managing, controlling and reporting for their allocated projects on the key metrics of Time, Cost, Quality and HSQE, using regular communication with suppliers, progress meetings, internal Irish Water capabilities and reporting tools.
5. Monitor and challenge project supplier performance for project programme (Time) and financials (Cost), with escalation to Regional Lead as required.
6. Be familiar with Irish Water Standards that apply to the programme to ensure high levels of project quality delivery.
7. Provide input into programme exercises such as lessons learned, stakeholder management, procurement and risk management to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of projects delivery.
8. Providing leadership to ensure effective team development and performance.
9. Ensuring project financial performance.
To be considered for the role you will have the following:
10. Civil Engineer with 7+ years’ experience in the Irish/UK water sectors, designing or constructing water services projects.
11. Experience in technical report writing for water services projects, particularly feasibility study reports assessing engineering alternatives with options costed and in Whole Life Cost terms.
12. Experience of a wide range of municipal water services projects (networks, pumping stations and treatment plants) at various stages in the project life cycles.
13. Client facing experience; be comfortable leading projects and being the sole point of contact for the client.
14. Experience in running a number of projects simultaneously.
15. Knowledge of various contract types (FIDIC, NEC, Public Works, Irish Water) and experience in Contract Administration.
16. Knowledge of safety and health regulations with regard to the design process.
