Role: Sr SRE (Application Support + Automation)
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Experience: 5-7 years
Salary: 55K – 60K EUR/year
About the Role
1. Plan, manage, and oversee all aspects of a Production Environment.
2. Define strategies for Application Performance Monitoring and Optimization in the Prod environment.
3. Respond to Incidents and improvise the platform based on feedback, measuring the reduction of incidents over time.
4. Support deployment of code into multiple lower environments, with an emphasis on automating processes.
5. Design, develop, and standardize Monitoring and Alerting mechanisms for the supported applications.
6. Take a holistic approach to problem-solving during production events across the technology stack to optimize meantime to recover.
7. Engage in and improve the lifecycle of services—from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.
8. Analyze ITSM activities of the platform and provide feedback to development teams on operational gaps or resiliency concerns.
9. Support services before they go live through system design consulting, capacity planning, and launch reviews.
10. Support the application CI/CD pipeline for promoting software into higher environments through validation and operational gating, leading in DevOps automation and best practices.
11. Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.
12. Scale systems sustainably through automation and evolving systems by advocating for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
13. Work with a global team across multiple geographies and time zones.
14. Share knowledge and explain processes and procedures to others.
15. Mentor junior resources.
16. Able to perform on-call duties on a rotational basis.
17. Occasional off-hours work required.
18. Candidate should have an inclination for training and be a good mentor.
