Job Description
We are currently recruiting a Lead Project Management Engineer for our Water Sector team in Ireland. The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering major projects, focusing on scope, budget, schedule, and risk management as part of a significant capital investment programme.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Oversee project delivery, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and specification compliance.
* Develop the Project Execution Plan, aligning it with our standards and methods.
* Coordinate project interfaces, addressing considerations at all stages of the project lifecycle.
* Work with technical teams to manage design consultants and external service providers.
* Foster stakeholder consultation and engagement.
* Provide monthly progress reports on tasks throughout the project's lifecycle, including construction works during the construction phase.
* Maintain the overall project risk register and update it at regular progress meetings.
* Identify opportunities to improve project management procedures, templates, and products.
* Review Contractor's design and deliverables in detail.
* Manage contracts effectively.
Requirements
* Minimum 10+ years' experience in Construction/Infrastructure sector on similar-sized and complex projects.
* Relevant third-level qualification in engineering or related discipline.
* Qualification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE II) is advantageous.
* Good knowledge and experience of Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
* Strong knowledge and experience of project management methodologies.
* Strong water engineering technical capability.
* Strong knowledge and experience of contract administration and delivery.
* Ability to set up ongoing procedures for collecting and reviewing information as needed.
* Experience operating on-site, not just office-based, is an advantage.
* Track record of delivering construction/asset delivery projects on time and within allocated budget.
* Knowledge of operating as a client's project manager.
* Experience dealing with various stakeholders across the organisation, influencing process improvement and guidance for project delivery.
* Capacity for self-motivation.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure project outputs meet required standards.
* Planning capability and ability to use Oracle Primavera 6 scheduling system is an advantage.
