Job Description:
A well-established nursing home in Galway has an opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Manager.
Job Summary:
As a Clinical Nurse Manager, you will maintain a high standard of daily care and activities in accordance with best practices within available resources. Planning, development, and management will be part of your daily responsibilities.
Required:
To qualify for this role, you must have a Third level Degree in Nursing, be actively registered with NMBI, and have a 3rd level Healthcare management qualification. You will also have a minimum of 3 years experience working with older people within the last six years of your career. You should be an experienced people manager of good character, who enjoys a challenge and takes pride in achieved results.
Qualifications:
Registered on the Live Register in the General Division of the Register of Nurses as maintained by the NMBI.

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years nursing experience
Knowledge of the Nursing Home Industry
Full understanding of the National Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People
Wide general nursing experience and proven leadership qualities
Experience/qualification in Gerontology
Evidence of consistent updating of clinical skills and knowledge
Demonstrable coaching & development skills within clinical practice
Competent and confident IT skills
Experience in caring for people with dementia.
