Title: Environmental Health & Safety Graduate
Purpose
Advises and guides the company on EHS matters to ensure the safety and health of the workforce, and the protection of the environment. Ensures the company is aware of, and complies with applicable environmental, health and safety legislative and other requirements.
Responsibilities
* Maintain plant statistic, performance to goals, and other records necessary to document EH&S Management System status and comply with regulatory requirements.
* Review the site’s waste management generation monthly.
* Work with Supervisors, Trainers, and Technicians to identify and control significant environmental, health, and safety impacts of operations.
* Contribute to the development of the site’s Safety Statement to include hazard identification, hazard risk assessment, and hazard control programmes and participate in their implementation.
* Participate in working with internal committees and training efforts.
* Ensure that all required EHS records are prepared and maintained.
* Participate in and prepare for EHS inspections by external agencies, and all system audits.
* Support and contribute to the site’s EHS programmes to include emergency response.
* Understand and proactively follow through on the Environmental Health & Safety Management Procedures that have been identified as relevant to the position.
Requirements
* Bachelors Honours Degree (Level 8) in Environmental Science or Health & Safety or Sustainability Qualification.
* Must have graduated within the last two years or be in the final year of university.
* Relevant work experience/co-op programme completed, desired but not essential.
* Eligible to work in Ireland.
* Good Communication & Technical Skills.
Start Date: July/August/September 2025
Contract Duration: 23 Month Contract
Closing Date: 29th November
