Automation Engineer - County Waterford

County Waterford, Republic of Ireland
This is a contract posting of 12 months' duration.
1. As Automation Engineer you will monitor the quality and efficiency performance of assigned product lines, and provide support in driving continuous improvement through process development, root cause analysis and systematic problem solving.
2. The Automation Engineer is responsible for delivering automation projects from quotation through to product manufacture.
3. Support design, buy-off, installation and validation of automated production lines.
4. Manage assigned project budgets; liaise with customers, contractors as required.
5. Process Characterization / Optimization (DFMEA’s, PFMEA’s, DOE’s, MSA's etc.).
6. Lead systematic technical root cause investigations.
7. Support production line ramp to achieve mature production targets.
8. Develop and implement production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most efficient manner for new and existing additive manufacturing processes.
9. Drive continuous improvement projects.
10. Support technical training.

8. Proficient in MS Office applications, MS Project.
9. CAD experience desirable.
10. Degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering or similar discipline.
11. At least 3-6 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment (high volume automated assembly experience would be an advantage).
12. Travel as necessary to support equipment buy-offs and training at vendor/customer sites.
