About the Role - This is a permanent role, working within our Production Team based in Shannon. The primary purpose of this role is to drive output through and fulfil all functions in relation to production on Organic Cell.
Responsibilities -
1. Manufacture of batches in accordance with their SOPs including filling, capping, and sealing where required.
2. Carry out appropriate and fit for purpose preventative maintenance on all equipment and carry out equipment checks/calibration as per schedule.
3. Contribution to lean including 6S, kaizen, Kanban, and lean.
4. Specific cell waste management to ensure appropriate waste stream storage prior to disposal.
5. Liaise with support staff on materials requirements.
6. Ensure all health, safety, and environmental standards are complied with and take full responsibility for housekeeping and hygiene within the cell.
7. Troubleshoot production issues and communicate with colleagues on QC and planning to ensure demand requirements are met within the allocated time frame.
8. Suggest and implement improvements to increase capacity and efficiency.
9. Be available for upskilling and cross-training where required and contribute to cross-functional teams as necessary.
10. Train and guide production operators and technicians within the area.
11. Undertake training and upskilling to ensure expertise to perform the role of Team Leader within the TOC Cell. Ensure proper utilization of the team, proper flow of work, and that all staff are working optimally.
12. Actively participate and contribute to the daily PIT meeting.
13. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Production Manager or any other member of the management team, including contributing to projects and undertaking tasks, responsibilities, and duties geared towards the successful achievement of the availability to promise (ATP) objective of the department and honoring this target for the customer.
Qualifications -
1. Experience gained in a high-quality manufacturing environment.
2. Detailed knowledge and experience of batch chemical manufacturing.
3. 3rd level science qualification (minimum ordinary level degree) is mandatory.
