Job Summary
Under minimal direction, manage all aspects regarding the development, implementation, and ongoing support of all elements, modules, systems, and training for select ADL Operations Safety and Environmental Compliance Programs.
Minimum Requirements
* 7-10 years' experience in EHS
* Min 2-3 years experience managing direct reports
* Knowledge and understanding of the application of the ISO PDCA cycle of continuous improvement to EHS Management Systems & Programs
* Ability to solve problems and provide solutions to a variety of complex safety problems
* Self-driven with ability to work under minimal direction
* People centered leader with high self-awareness and emotional intelligence
Preferred Requirements
* Degree in an Science/Engineering/EHS discipline with qualifications in either Safety or Environmental management but experience in both
* Experience managing EHS (with direct reports) in the pharmaceutical industry
Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of relevant Safety and Environmental Management programs in compliance with all Regional regulations and Amgen requirements.
Ensure all risks associated with these programs are assessed and documented with sufficient controls in place to ensure compliance and risks being managed.
Ensure sufficient resources (internal and vendor/or supplied) in place to support implementation of the EHS programs in scope.
Ensure procedures are in place and training needs identified for all relevant personnel on site.
Ensure documentation and investigation of any accidents, near misses and non-conformances.
Manage the relevant EHS team members at ADL responsible for Safety and Environmental Management and ensure Program Owners and Business Partners are clearly identified.
Ensure a program of self-inspection and auditing is in place and resources to check ongoing adherence to sites procedures for industrial safety and environmental management.
Facilitate suitable/adequate governance processes for tracking performance across all relevant programs (through gathering and interrogation of the right metrics).
Compile and report safety statistics as required to the Amgen management.
Identify and implement appropriate technological systems (e.g. AI) for improving the efficient management of EHS on site.
Participate as a member of the site's Operating Team to represent EHS in driving delivery of the manufacturing schedule.
International Travel approximately 10%
