Location: Dublin (Office-Based or Hybrid)
Reporting to: Counselling Manager
Shifts: 8 hours set shifts, between 8 am - 8 pm, Monday-Friday
Role Overview:
You’ll provide emotional support on a 24/7 helpline, conducting clinical and risk assessments. You’ll ensure services follow BACP ethics and carry out video/telephone counselling set sessions contributing to BACP accreditation.
Responsibilities:
* Provide efficient telephone counselling.
* When on helpline, answer calls within 8 seconds and assess callers’ needs (calls may be between 10-50 minutes+).
* Direct service users appropriately, managing expectations.
* Manage risk in line with company policies.
* Undertake training and apply skills (e.g., trauma, safeguarding).
* Meet personal and team goals as per the quality framework.
* Efficiently manage calls, emails, and inbox.
Requirements:
* Diploma Level 4 in Counselling with 150+ hours.
* IACP registration or equivalent.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Experience with safeguarding and suicidal ideation.
