On Behalf of our Client based in Nenagh, we are currently sourcing a Supply Chain & Procurement Lead to join their Team. This company specialises in providing homes nationally.
Role Purpose:
Critical to the success of an offsite production facility is the continual availability of materials, to enable smooth production and on time delivery of projects. This role will engage at all stages of the project lifecycle, advising the commercial and design teams of the availability of materials, including newly available materials. This role is accountable for the accuracy of the bill material, including pricing, lead times and supplier details. Where there is a client requirement to do so, this information must be integrated into the Building Information Management (BIM) digital twin, so will require the role holder to collaborate with the design team to minimise double entry and to ensure the prime source for each data item is always used for pricing and procurement decisions. The role holder will identify the most appropriate sources of supply, negotiate prices and supply terms and conditions for all items and maintain this live on the systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Create and maintain Bills of Material and ensure these are agreed with Design and Commercial.
2. Where required, collaborate with the Design team to ensure the appropriate information is reflected in the BIM digital twin.
3. Identify the most appropriate sources of supply, including secondary sources where appropriate.
4. Negotiate prices and terms of conditions of supply, market testing existing arrangements at least annually.
5. Alert the senior management team and the commercial team of adverse changes to terms or availability.
6. Instruct the creation of Purchase Orders and that these are matched with goods received notes and invoices.
7. Work with the Stores and Warehousing team to ensure on hand inventory data is accurate.
Criteria:
* Strong knowledge of procurement best practices.
* Knowledge of the construction sector would be an advantage.
* Knowledge of Modern Methods of Construction would be a distinct advantage.
* Experience of working with ERP or MRP system is essential and experience of implementing the procurement and purchasing elements of these systems would be a distinct advantage.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in Manufacturing or Construction procurement, with a focus on the housing sector ideally.
