BioAtlantis Ltd, a leading Irish bio-tech company, is currently seeking a talented and driven Automation Engineer on a permanent basis to be a key member of an ambitious company. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a dynamic environment and work well within a team. Previous manufacturing experience is a requirement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Develop industrial supervisory control system for new production lines on SCADA platform
* Develop PLC programmes to control all equipment installed on site
* Liaise with Engineering and production teams to develop complete solutions
* Support project commissioning activities.
* Testing of panels and I/O testing.
* Provides advanced level of technical and automation support to production.
Qualifications:
* Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or other relevant third level qualification)
* Expert in the use of SCADA packages – WinCC
* Control methodologies such as PID control
* Working knowledge of various field-bus protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profinet)
* Experience of how to formally specify, design, and document automation projects
Experience:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
* Will have worked on the installation of process plant/equipment.
* Ideally experience in the food, pharma, process industry sectors
