The EY in-house Talent team are hiring! We are looking for a high impact, delivery focused individual with strong DC experience. This newly created role will form part of a high performing team managing the overall pensions strategy, governance, and policies of EY’s current pension arrangements in the Republic of Ireland.
EY employs approximately 4,000 employees in Ireland and operates two trust based Defined Contribution pension plans with combined assets approaching €300m. The pension plans are both insured DC pension arrangements with the administration and investment management of the arrangements outsourced to the insurer. Both plans have a single professional trustee in place and a range of advisors and appointed function holders (as required under IORPs II). The Firm also provides Group Life assurance and Group Income Protection benefits to employees and operates a Flexible benefits plan.
Your key responsibilities:
* You will manage the ongoing governance of EY’s current DC pensions arrangements in the Republic of Ireland.
* You will work with the UK and Ireland Pensions Director and the Total Rewards Director to drive the strategic direction of the pension proposition at EY.
* You will support in the management of all matters regulatory and legislative compliance of EY’s pension arrangements.
* You will manage the key third party relationships to ensure the best level of service is provided to members and EY.
* You will oversee the management and resolution of pension enquiries from all sources, including members, external service providers and provide a professional internal consultancy service to EY.
* You will lead on the development and delivery of EY pensions communication strategy including how these feeds into EY’s Financial Wellness proposition.
* You will be responsible for the management of the annual budget for the governance of the pension arrangements.
* You will be responsible for the Group Risk Benefits including Life Assurance and Group Income Protection. This will include working with the insurance broker, completion of the risk benefit renewals and overseeing the management of any claims.
* You will undertake and lead on specific projects as required; recent examples of this include planning for pensions auto enrolment and carrying out an investment strategy review.

Qualifications for the role:
* In-house pensions management experience or experience working as a pension consultant within one of the leading employee benefit firms.
* Experience in the management of Group risk benefit arrangements.
* An excellent understanding of the day-to-day operations of trust-based DC arrangements.
* Good understanding of current legislation and regulations, and their impact on DC plans.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Good commercial acumen and awareness.
* Excellent stakeholder and project management skills, with a strong delivery focus.
