AVP Credit Risk

Their commitment to excellence and innovation has positioned us as a leader in the industry. They are now seeking a motivated and skilled professional to join the Credit team, where you will play a key role in managing and analysing the credit risks within a portfolio of airline customers.
Within Credit Risk, you will be at the forefront of managing and assessing credit and asset risks across a subset of the aircraft and engine portfolio. Your primary responsibilities will include analysing the credit risk of airline and non-airline customers, evaluating asset risk, and optimizing transaction structures. Your work will be crucial in ensuring the stability and growth of the portfolio, taking into account all factors that could impact risk.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage and assess credit risk, making informed decisions based on established policies and guidelines.
2. Analyse engine investment characteristics, associated asset risks, forecast asset valuations, and plan engine management strategies.
3. Conduct financial analysis and complete counterparty risk analysis to assess projected operating performance and repayment capacity.
4. Perform due diligence (both on-site and remotely) and evaluate a range of transactions across various customers and regions.
5. Prepare detailed transaction applications, evaluating customer strategies, competitive positioning, and expected future performance.
6. Actively monitor customer, market, and economic factors that may influence lease risk, and manage customer risk accordingly.
7. Provide key information to Senior Management to support optimal decision-making.
8. Assist the Sales team in originating new lease transactions by mitigating risk and offering innovative structuring solutions.
9. Coordinate risk-related information and collaborate with other departments to achieve desired results.
10. Support the provision of portfolio information to the shareholder, participate in regular meetings, and engage in value-added Q&A.
11. Complete customer annual reviews for your assigned portfolio on both a scheduled and ad-hoc basis.
Skills & Experience:
Essential
12. 2-5 years of experience in a financial services environment.
13. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Risk, Finance, Economics) or a related field.
14. Demonstrated high level of credit and general analytical skills.
15. Willingness and ability to travel for on-site due diligence as needed.
16. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and support team members in doing the same.
