**Clinical Assessor (Northern Ireland)**
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Clinical Assessor with a background in Mental Health or Psychiatry to work within a high-profile scheme related to historical events in Northern Ireland.
This role offers the chance to make a tangible difference by assessing applicants for a scheme providing support to individuals impacted by past events.
Key Responsibilities:
* Independently manage your workload and assess individuals who may have been affected by historical events in Northern Ireland.
* Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments (in person and remotely), reviewing medical evidence and documenting detailed reports for decision-making.
* Engage with other healthcare professionals to gather supporting medical evidence when necessary.
* Compile structured, evidence-based assessment reports for the Victims Payment Board.
* Ensure the quality and productivity targets are met as per contractual service level agreements.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* At least 2 years post-registration experience as a Doctor, Nurse, or Allied Healthcare Professional.
* Fully registered with the GMC, NMC, or HCPC, with a valid PIN and no restrictions.
* Experience in Mental Health or Psychiatric practice.
* Strong analytical and report-writing skills with experience managing detailed assessment portfolios.
* Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and IT systems for documentation.
* Ability to remain neutral on sensitive historical matters, with a balanced, unbiased approach.
Competencies:
* Self-Management: Ability to handle own caseload and provide examples of successfully managing workload in previous roles.
* Communication: Proficiency in written and verbal communication with a variety of individuals from different socio-economic backgrounds.
* Attention to Detail: Experience conducting detailed research and preparing structured, evidence-based reports.
* Neutrality: A comprehensive yet neutral understanding of historical events in Northern Ireland is crucial.

* Full driving licence and access to a car required.
* Role is remote but may require travel to applicants homes or assessment centres.
