Our client, a well-established company in the transport sector, is seeking a Temporary Accountant for an initial 3-month contract. This hybrid role is based in South Dublin with on-site parking and offers the opportunity to contribute to the finance team’s operations.
Job Responsibilities:
* Support the preparation of management accounts.
* Handle monthly accounting tasks, including reconciliations and reporting.
* Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy.
* Post journals and manage accruals and prepayments.
* Oversee accounts payable processes and ensure timely payments.
Experience Required:
* A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role.
* Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
* Previous experience working with Oracle is essential.
* Proficiency in accruals, prepayments, and general ledger reconciliations.
* Experience in a fast-paced finance environment.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Educational Requirements:
* A third-level qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Part-qualified or fully qualified in ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or similar is beneficial.
