Vertiv are seeking to recruit an ambitious and motivated Mechanical Design Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
Reporting to the Department Head, this position presents an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the Mechanical design aspects of electrical switchgear and contribute to product improvements of same. The main remit of the role will involve working with senior design engineers and the Switchgear Product manager in the preparation of detailed mechanical drawings and documentation for LV Switchgear products.
Qualifications
1. A good grounding in Mechanical Engineering Design Principles including an ability to read and interpret specifications and IEC standards and apply those to the job role.
2. Good working knowledge and experience with SolidWorks.
3. Experience with MS Office packages: Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
4. 1 year experience in a similar role and/or demonstration of abilities using SolidWorks to an acceptable standard.
5. AutoCAD experience desirable but not essential.
