Hotel Manager for luxury four star in the heart of Ireland This luxury four star in the Midlands is a favourite getaway destination with extensive F&B and banqueting facilities for both leisure and corporate events.
They now seek a highly experienced Hotel Manager to be responsible for total hotel operations, ensuring a premium quality product and service is delivered to guests at all times.
Key responsibilities: Maximise revenue, profitability and quality goals by developing and executing upselling strategies, controlling costs, and by providing quality service and products to all guests.
Ensure HODs efficiently and effectively manage their areas at all times.
Ensure HODs comply with all HR policies and procedures (uniform, training, rosters, appraisals, admin etc).
Foster and develop effective colleague relations within all hotel departments.
Have responsibility for departmental budgets, ensuring Managers keep in line with set budgets and goals are met through sales optimisation, cost control etc.
Achieve guest satisfaction goals, monitoring guest feedback and using this data for continuous service improvement and ongoing training.
Be responsible for the audit of service levels and quality on a regular basis, implementing strategies to improve results as required.
Assist Head Chef with Environmental Health Officer visits and ensure timely follow-up is completed.
Monitor present and future trends, practices and systems in the industry to ensure competitiveness in the market place.
Control and ensure update to systems/tills as necessary with regard to menu, pricing, package changes.
Regularly evaluate pricing in line with competition and any relevant prices increases.
Participate in regular management meetings (Exec Com, HOD, daily comms meetings etc).
Take overall responsibility for the coordination of any special or large event, ensuring colleagues work together as a team to achieve maximum success.
Act as a salesperson for the hotel, constantly looking at new sales opportunities and ensuring the hotel is being sold effectively by the team to achieve budgeted revenue, occupancy and average rate.
The ideal candidate: Minimum of five years experience in a senior hotel management role at a quality 4/5 star hotel.
Strong F&B background and knowledge.
Flexibility with schedule for weekend/evening events.
Keen analytical and strategic mindset.
Good financial forecasting skills.
Superior levels of service delivery.
Motivational leadership style with positive influencing skills.
