We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to oversee our Formulation and Packaging operations.
Position Overview: As the Assistant Manager for Formulation and Packaging, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our formulation and packaging processes. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee staff management, quality control, and inventory management, while ensuring compliance with safety and procedural standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulation Operations:
Oversee all formulation operations in the manufacturing plant.
Manage and train formulation staff, conduct performance reviews, and handle disciplinary actions as needed.
Ensure formulations are prepared safely and in accordance with established procedures.
Update procedures and training materials to maintain compliance and efficiency.
Schedule formulation activities based on confirmed orders.
Monitor formulation stocks and manage inventory levels based on sales forecasts.
Conduct regular quality checks to ensure formulations meet specifications.
Complete quarterly stock-takes of formulation ingredients and materials.
Packaging Operations:
Manage overall packaging operations to ensure timely and accurate packing of finished products.
Supervise packaging staff, providing training and guidance to maintain quality and productivity standards.
Coordinate product availability with production for confirmed orders.
Manage packaging stocks, reorder supplies as needed, and ensure documentation is audit-ready.
Coordinate loading and offloading of shipping containers and trucks, documenting goods and maintaining records.
Production Management:
Provide cover for the Production Manager in their absence to ensure continuity of operations.
Set weekly targets and objectives for the production team, monitor progress, and address any issues.
Create staff rosters to ensure efficient use of resources.
Compile weekly production and KPI reports, analysing data to identify areas for improvement.
Lead weekly production meetings to discuss performance, challenges, and optimisation opportunities.
Qualifications:
Technical degree in manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience in formulation and packaging operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
Proficient in inventory management and quality control processes.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in using manufacturing software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: €35,000.00-€37,000.00 per year
