Job Description:
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
* Strengthen relationships with existing clients.
* Penetrate organizational structures for existing clients and develop relationships at all levels beyond the main point of contact.
* Understand clients' businesses and strategies, as well as our role with each client.
* Evaluate and ensure client satisfaction, following up as needed.
* Communicate service issues to Department Managers/Supervisors.
* Maintain and update weekly lists of action items for follow-up.
* Make 10 calls per week, scheduling them by Monday afternoon. Mondays and Fridays are for setup and follow-up, while Tuesdays through Thursdays are for calls.
* Assist with collections when necessary.
* Manage client profiles organized by location.
* Create territory maps displaying the number of accounts located in each city, updating these monthly.
* Input and manage Teamsell for significant calls.
* Be proficient in EI systems and demos to provide technical updates to LAM accounts.
* Involves sales and operations teams at appropriate times.
* Share weekly schedules with departments to facilitate coordination and joint account visits.
* Turn major business opportunities and proposals over to Sales and operational issues to Ops.
* Conduct Business Reviews with a goal of having at least one review per account per year.
* Continually seek improvements in procedures and services to create more efficient and cost-effective operations.
* Lead local (branch) services efficiently.
* Assist, and if necessary, resolve problems outside of the local branch.
* Evaluate and ensure that invoicing and payment processes function properly.
* Meet with local clients to maintain their information and satisfaction.
* Dedicate yourself to the success of Expeditors and the program using ethical business practices, personal commitment, passion, sacrifice, and an obsession with the fundamental details of running the business
Qualifications:
Requirements - Skills, Education, Experience:
* A high school diploma or equivalent business qualifications.
* A minimum of two years of experience with Expeditors or in a related industry.
* The ability to clearly articulate customer requirements for other Expeditors employees.
* Knowledge of required Expeditors operating systems as well as PC skills including word processing.
* Demonstrated customer service skills and proven interpersonal skills.
* A Level one Account Management certification.
