Job Description
The Finance and Operations team at MathWorks seeks an experienced professional to manage Revenue accounting and controls (RAC) Finance Operations within EMEA. As part of this role, you will oversee all EMEA operations related to revenue recognition, invoicing, and reporting, while collaborating with European Controllers in a matrix organization to support EMEA Finance operations.
Responsibilities
* Team Management: Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop a scalable team through career development programs. Create a regional capacity model to support hiring plans in EMEA.
* Financial Systems Liaison: Identify workflow improvements with the Financial Systems Team, address inefficiencies, and support RAC testing and training for system updates.
* Internal Controls: Evaluate and enhance internal controls, identify deficiencies, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
* Collaboration & Communication: Regularly meet with peer groups to improve communication, feedback, and workflows. Continuously seek process improvements and waste reduction.
* Performance Management: Utilize standard metrics to manage team performance.
* Cross-Regional Collaboration: Work with NA and APAC teams to solve problems and recommend process improvements. Develop local and regional resources for cross-border work.
Qualifications
* A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience are required, along with 2 years of management experience.
* The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in high-tech software industry operations, supporting externally facing sales organizations. 5+ years of management experience is preferred.
* A Qualified Accountant or CPA certification is desirable.
* Fluency in English is essential, with additional language skills a plus.
* Previous experience in supporting field sales operations in the High-Tech industry is advantageous.
