International Project Controller to Save the Children Denmark

WHAT WE OFFER
You will deal with our key Western & Central African portfolio: you will bring your skills and expertise to ensure that our awards are financially managed in the best possible way engaging with a wide range of stakeholders at the Danish headquarters and in country offices.
Through a variety of exciting development tasks, you will also have the opportunity to shape our financial systems to ensure continuous improvement in efficiency and high-quality deliverables.
YOU WILL
You will have ongoing interaction and sparring with your diverse and knowledgeable teammates (8 project controllers), along with a close collaboration with the WCA international department and relevant country offices.
Your role is divided into the following key areas:
1. Partner the WCA Program Department on financial matters: you will engage in all key steps of the Award Cycle and provide sound financial advice and quality assurance including donor requirements, proposal drafting, budgets, reporting & audit. You will deal with donors like Danida and ECHO.
2. Continuously support the WCA Program Department and related country offices on financial issues as well as developing their capacities so that they comply with donor requirements, formats and regulations. Regular monitoring visits are expected with an estimated yearly 2-3 travel weeks.
3. Develop and implement financial systems, and engage into cross-cutting tasks to improve efficiency and deliverables quality.
4. Contribute to the institutional annual financial and audit related assignments.
YOUR PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL PROFILE
1. A relevant university degree in Finance, Business Administration or similar
2. Proficiency in both English and French (some Danish an advantage)
3. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Pack and specifically Excel
4. At least 2 years’ experience with financial project management
5. Experience with ERP systems – Agresso/UNIT4 an advantage
6. Experience with working in an international environment and/or INGO sector

CONDITIONS & RECRUITMENT PROCESS
You will be employed according to the terms and conditions of the local Collective Agreement between Red Barnet and the relevant unions. The position follows the AC classification with 37 working hours per week, and flex time.
