Financial Accountant - Wealth Management

About the Role
We are partnering with an Irish-owned independent wealth management firm to find a Financial Accountant.
The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
* Analyze financial data to identify trends, perform variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to management.
* Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including those related to financial and tax reporting.
* Streamline accounting processes and improve financial controls.
* Manage and reconcile investment portfolios and transactions to ensure accurate reporting and performance tracking.
* Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations for financial practices.
* Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting, providing support to various departments in financial planning.
* Implement and maintain robust financial systems and databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
* Prepare tax returns and ensure timely submission, including estimated quarterly tax payments.
* Monitor cash flow, manage bank accounts and transactions, and optimize financial operations for efficiency and cost control.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. ACCA, CPA, or equivalent certification is required.
* 2-3 years of PQ&A accounting experience, preferably in a wealth management or financial services environment.
* Strong understanding of GAAP and other financial regulations and practices.
* Proficient in financial software systems, SAGE products, and advanced Excel skills.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong attention to detail with an ability to work independently.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strict deadlines.
