Seeking a Senior Automation Developer who will Engage with requests across the entire SDLC - analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support.
Role: Senior Automation Developer
Salary: €60-69K + bonus/benefits
Location: Dublin (City Centre)
WFH Model: Very flexible (1/2 days a week in office)
Key Accountabilities
1. Technical lead for the team, responsible for delivering high-quality software solutions.
2. Engage with requests across the entire SDLC - analysis, design, development, testing, deployment and support
3. Provide necessary oversight to ensure solutions are developed in accordance with function's quality standards, controls, architecture, wider organisation security standards and optimal total cost of ownership.
4. Propose and apply best practice approaches.
5. Produce genuine ideas, pioneer solutions that are scalable and secure.
6. Manage efficiently day-to-day requests as well as engage in more complex projects.
7. Manage and prioritises multiple streams of workload.
8. Develop and leverage a close working relationship with key technology stakeholders within CTS, with peers across European Technology
9. Lead, develop and motivate a team of software developers to ensure they achieve and contribute to their maximum potential
Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills
The successful candidate should also possess the following skills and knowledge:
10. Advanced scripting skills using Powershell or other scripting languages as well as fluency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Javascript, Python
11. Strong SQL knowledge
12. RESTful web services development experience would be an advantage.
13. 8+ years in a scripting / programming / devops / automation /development role.
14. Strong background in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
15. Good understanding of virtualisation technologies, in particular VMWare
16. Good understanding of Cloud computing. Knowledge of Azure services would be an advantage.
17. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related technical field or equivalent, relevant work experience.
18. Minimum four years leading Automation Development and at least four years of programming experience.
19. Ability to troubleshoot and debug software.
20. Team worker who works easily with others
21. Must be proactive with strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
22. Willingness to learn new skills where required in order to ensure delivery of quality automation solutions
