Job Description
A leading provider of integrated facilities management services is seeking a skilled GL Accountant to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
* Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
* Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries and financial statements.
* Prepare financial reports and analyses, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
* Reconcile intercompany transactions and resolve discrepancies.
* Record fixed asset acquisitions and disposals, post depreciation, and perform reconciliations.
* Support internal and external audits with documentation and explanations.
* Handle ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
* Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA).
* Strong understanding of accounting principles, including IFRS.
* Proficient in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform variance analysis.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
