Job Title: Electrical Validation Technician

Role Overview
The Electrical Validation Technician will be at the heart of automotive innovation, supporting the development and validation of cutting-edge vision systems for global vehicle manufacturers.
This exciting hands-on role involves designing, executing, and reporting on comprehensive electrical test procedures that underpin the reliability and safety of next-generation automotive technologies.

Key Responsibilities Test Planning and Reporting Develop customer-specific electrical validation test plans.Collaborate closely with R&D project teams to define and align test cases.Execute detailed test suites and report findings.Provide failure mode analysis and detailed feedback to engineering teams.Test Case Development Design schematics and block diagrams to support validation.Develop both hardware and software platforms for test environments.Suggest and apply proven electrical design methodologies to new products.Use advanced test tools and software to conduct and automate tests.Test Execution and Support Build and maintain in-house electrical test capability.Create a knowledge base of test profiles informed by project experience.Develop internal testing standards for consistency across platforms.Liaise with external test labs and provide documentation for seamless execution.Support Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities for new designs.Process and Quality Focus Create and maintain dashboards tracking project and task progress.Adhere to Quality Management Systems and automotive industry standards (e.g.
ASPICE, ISO TS16949).Participate in lessons learned to improve future validation processes.Ensure traceability and version control of all system outputs through configuration management.Required Skills and Experience Education & Training Technician-level qualification in Electronics or similar (required).Bachelor's degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (advantageous).Professional Experience Demonstrated hands-on experience with bench test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, current probes).Proficient with test automation and electronic data collection (Excel, GPIB interfacing, graphical reporting).Experience with automotive systems including 12V power architecture, cold cranking, and inrush current analysis.Familiarity with vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN, FlexRay).Confident in reworking circuits, reading schematics, probing ICs, and identifying signal paths.Our Vision: To be recognised as the best STEM Contracting & Permanent Recruitment company and the Employer of Choice for top performing Recruiters.
