Job Title: Meetings and Events Sales Executive
Cork City, Ireland. We are seeking a dynamic Meetings and Events Sales Executive to join our hotel team.
About the Role:
As a Meetings and Events Sales Executive, you will work closely with our Sales and Marketing Director to maximise sales potential in food & beverage, wedding/events, and conference/meeting segments.
Main Responsibilities:
• Pro-actively increase revenue by effectively selling event spaces
• Monitor and follow up on provisional bookings to ensure contracts are signed within a reasonable timeframe
• Meet clients upon arrival and handover to operations team
• Accurately post charges on accounts during the working week
• Track payments, billing, and pre-payments
• Share feedback from weddings/conferences/dining events with hotel management
• Attend exhibitions, corporate events, consumer shows, and client meetings as requested
• Contribute to F&B and meetings budgeting
• Identify key competitors and conduct regular competitive analysis
• Monitor their performance, rates, and sales activity for food & beverage and meeting rooms
• Input into quarterly activity plans to adapt activity to support business needs
• Conduct weekly promotional activities to promote dining, meetings & events in the locality
• Assist with all F&B and M&E advertising for the hotel
• Assist with all F&B and M&E print material adhering to brand guidelines
• Support the monthly social media plan and post each week, tracking engagement metrics for Food & Beverage and Meeting Rooms
