1st and 2nd level of IT user support for Vertiv users on site at Letterkenny (training to be provided at our HQ site in Burnfoot for initial minimum period of 6-8 weeks), as a member of EMEA End User Computing team.
The IT Support Specialist will provide administration of IT infrastructure and services based on local and global business demands and aligning them with Corporate policy and procedures. You will also provide hardware and software configuration, maintenance, user training and consultation. Define standard IT solutions, preparation of documentation and procurement of IT equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Providing IT support for Vertiv Employees in alignment with internal SLAs
* Troubleshooting onsite issues and proactive approach in prevention of possible technical problems
* Tracking of work and user requests through global ticketing system
* Hardware and Software asset management
* Active Directory administration
* File server access rights administration
* Co-operation with Global IT teams regarding various projects, requests and problems
* Implementation and administration of Microsoft Client and Server operating systems
* Provide network access to all employees
* Preparation of new IT equipment, software and workstations
* Installation of security updates and dependencies
* Connecting and set up of hardware at work desks
* Identification and preparation of hardware for disposal
* Organization of repairs with authorized service partners
QUALIFICATIONS
Technical skills:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Science/Computer Science
* 2 years+ in a similar position
* Excellent knowledge of client and server Windows operating system
* Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT tools, systems and best practices
* Basic knowledge of network technology and protocols
* Familiar with setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of IT hardware and software
* Active user of MS Office incl. Excel (A), Word (A), PowerPoint (A)
* Not mandatory but welcome: Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL or similar certification
* English (Written and verbal)

* Manual dexterity (using hands and fingers to handle small components, connect cables etc.
Environmental demands:
* Varied work environments (different work locations including offices, server rooms, production facility…)
* Temperature and Noise (no extremes, all in standard office ranges)
TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED
* 10% - driving licence required.
