**Quantity Surveyor Role Overview**
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a significant social housing development in County Louth, Ireland.

About the Role
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation for the project.
* Managing project costs, ensuring value for money while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
* Oversight of procurement processes, including sourcing materials and appointing subcontractors.
* Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure alignment with project budgets.
* Assessing, valuing, and agreeing on variations to contracts with subcontractors and clients.
* Preparing interim and final valuations, including preparation of claims for payments.
* Providing accurate cost reporting and forecasting to the project team and stakeholders.
* Liaising with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a background in residential or social housing projects.
* Strong understanding of Irish construction contracts, building regulations, and procurement processes.
* Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in relevant software such as Microsoft Excel, Cubit, or CostX.
* Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
* Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
