Overview
Opportunity for Mechanical Supervisor to join our Life Science team in Tralee.The Mechanical Supervisor will oversee and participate in the planning, execution, and evaluation of mechanical walkdown activities on various projects. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines while leading a team of technicians and contractors, and pharmaceutical experience.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough walkdowns of mechanical systems and facilitiesVerify that installations meet project specifications and quality standards.Identify and document any discrepancies, deficiencies, or safety hazards.Create detailed reports of walkdown findings, including photographs .Maintain accurate and organized records of inspections and walkdowns.Submit reports to relevant stakeholders and follow up on corrective actions.Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and technical teams to address walkdown findings.Communicate effectively with team members to ensure understanding of issues and required actions.Participate in project meetings to provide updates on walkdown status and findings.Ensure all work complies with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.Conduct follow-up inspections to verify that corrective actions have been implemented.Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures.Provide training and guidance to team members on walkdown procedures and standards.Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in inspection techniques.
Experience
5+ years experience in mechanical supervisor role Pharmaceutical experience Experience in walkdowns, inspections, or a similar role.Experience in mechanical systems and Pharmaceutical projects Strong attention to detail and observational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in using inspection tools and software.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.Ability to work in various environmental conditions (e.g., construction sites, industrial facilities).Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if necessary
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related fieldRelevant certifications (e.g., Certified Quality Inspector) are preferred.
