This position will work one week Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and the next week Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday, with hours of work being from 8am to 8pm.
In this role you will be responsible for co-ordinating maintenance of the factory building and its surrounding premises, production plant service including preventive maintenance and upgrading of facility equipment and electrical services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as the point of contact for vendors, contractors, and sales representatives for the plant and facilities works in general.
2. Seek quotations and oversee any contract works from external vendors.
3. Liaise with in-house cleaning contractor to ensure cleaning standards are maintained and service contract requirements met across the whole site.
4. Ensure all site and grounds maintenance is completed in line with contract and site expectations.
5. Maintain management and presentation of records on all facilities related tasks/operations to meet auditing requirements for both internal/external auditors, customers, and corporate representatives as requested.
6. Co-ordinate all site facility activity in conjunction with full implementation and adherence to all EHS department standards and technical requirements.
7. Participate/Lead/Own MMCR, CAPA, PCF, NCE as requested and required to meet QA/Ops site requirements.
8. Oversee all key critical plant equipment by overseeing all third-party inspections and interventions, as well as in-house daily, weekly, monthly, and annual PM inspections and interventions.
9. Maintain/Oversee all canteen and office equipment.
10. Monitor and maintain cleanrooms and associated building management systems record through the site BMS system.
11. Identify non-compliance daily events and take appropriate actions when the BS system is drifting or going out of specification to ensure site cleanroom compliance for temperature, humidity, fresh air intake, and air pressure parameters.
12. Plan, co-ordinate and ensure all facilities works are compliant with required specifications, regulatory requirements, quality of work, and safety standards, including GMP/GDP specifications.
13. Support and assist the Operations and Engineering Manager with day-to-day activities such as Change controls, NPI introductions/Production ramps/New projects, etc.
14. Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of facilities operations in terms of performance, cost, and efficiency, i.e., utility usage and cost control/reduction.
15. Day-to-day maintenance of the facility as required, including breakdown response and repairs to equipment.
16. Environmental monitoring and management of pest control.
17. Meet all FM Global program requirements – Impairment Notification – Hot Work.
Interested applicants should have:
1. At least 5 years’ experience in facilities or related role essential.
2. In-depth knowledge of plant systems.
3. Experience of working with a preventative maintenance system.
4. Systematic troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
5. Good communication skills and ability to work well on own initiative.
6. Experience of compressed air, air handling, fire prevention, building management, and industrial water systems.
7. Ability to read P&ID's/schematics.
