Job Description
This Deputy Manager role supports our Homeless Service Manager in leading a team to help families in Supported Temporary Accommodation work towards securing long-term accommodation.
Core Duties:
* Admit families to the service and provide a full induction.
* Manage day-to-day operations, prioritizing trauma-informed practices and responses.
* Take a senior role within the staff team.
* Assist with leading specific aspects of the service's delivery.
* Responsibilities include team leadership, program development, caseload management, health and safety compliance, and keywork with designated families.
* Liaise with local authorities, housing providers, healthcare services, and other stakeholders to coordinate services and support for service users.
* Represent the organization at external meetings and forums as required.
Requirements:
* Undergraduate degree in Social Care, Social Policy, Addiction Studies, Social Science, or Housing & Welfare.
* Proficiency in standard office software (Microsoft Office Suite) and digital communication tools.
* Experience with systems like Pathway Accommodation & Support System (PASS) or other relevant databases.
Desired Skills:

* Understanding of homelessness and needs of homeless families.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
* Motivation and ability to work effectively with staff and service users.
* Flexible approach to work in response to organizational change.
* Ability to work independently and develop positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
