Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Category Buyer, located in Dublin but allowing for some work from home.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role is responsible for the development and performance of all sales, rebate and margin activities for the assigned product category within Pharmacy Retail, by meeting three key objectives:
1. Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate trading terms, joint business plans (JBPs), and marketing strategies, to deliver commercial income and rebate targets;
2. Product Selection: Develop and deliver a compelling category product range that offers choice and value to Pharmacy Retail partners and customers;
3. Pricing and Promotions: Develop and deliver pricing strategies and promotional plans to maximize sales and profitability.

* Proven and demonstrable experience of category buying within B2C, ideally within community pharmacy industry
* Strong supplier relationship management and contract negotiation skills
* Strong commercial acumen
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Robust analytical skills for market analysis and decision-making
* Excellent organisational, problem-solving and time management skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a hybrid team
* Third level education or professional qualification in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
