Accounts Manager Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the firm's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage client and office bank accounts, including processing online banking payments, cheque payments, lodgements, and reconciliations.
* Maintain petty cash records.
* Handle accounts payable, including recording supplier invoices, managing supplier payments, and addressing supplier queries.
* Manage accounts receivable, including client invoicing and credit control.
* Maintain client matter ledgers in accordance with Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
* Prepare compliance reports as required by Solicitors Accounts Regulations.
* Process staff expenses and handle payroll, including ROS submissions and reporting.
* Manage VAT and VIES returns, including ROS submissions.
* Record and reconcile Land Registry, Court Franking, and CRO accounts.
* Submit Revenue Commissioners Stamp Duty returns.
* Supervise Accounts Assistant and outsourced bookkeeping support where required.
* Manage the Nominal Ledger, including processing journal entries.
* Prepare ad hoc reports for management.
* Liaise with external financial advisors and auditors.
Requirements:
* Accounting Technician or similar accounting qualification.
* 2-3 years' experience in a legal accounts position.
* Knowledge of Legal Accounting Systems, preferably Keyhouse Case Management & Sam Accounts System.
* Familiarity with online banking processes.
* Knowledge of solicitors accounts regulations.
* A proactive and professional attitude.
* Ability to work on own initiative.
* Excellent communication skills to deal with staff members at all levels.
