My client, a leading multinational manufacturing company based in West Dublin, is in need of a Procurement Manager to join their team.
This is a busy role, where attention to detail is key. There is a high level of administration duties, including email correspondence liaising with various suppliers and vendors.
Working alongside our team to deliver a professional, credible, and timely service which supports the needs of our manufacturing facility and customers.
The successful candidate should have previous experience in a Procurement or Purchasing role, with good IT skills and be eager to learn.
Strong communication and organisational skill are also crucial.
Key Duties:
Full inventory control while ensuring all operational activities are on track (cycle counting, COGI reconciliation, physical material storage, Control Audits).
Responsible for driving the inventory control program across the site for over 4,000 SKU's, ensuring all stakeholders provide full support and compliance to maintain accuracy.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify the issues affecting inventory inaccuracy and work with management to eliminate same. Improve processes to achieve best-in-class performance in efficiency and compliance. Negotiate and develop long-term relationships with strategic suppliers and logistical partners. Ensure supplier risk is proactively understood and continuity business plans in place for any potential unpreventable interruption in supply. Support Operations Team with analytic insights to drive improvements in logistics optimisation.
(Bom's, Material handling efficiency, inventory accuracy, storage utilization, labelling, service level improvement and freight optimisation) Participate in continuous improvement and lead cost reduction projects across supply chain.
Work with IT to leverage the full capabilities of current systems and identify and implement improvements. Ensuring accurate inventory management and stock control. Maintain excellent communication with direct reports as well as senior management. Ensuring progress is monitored, and problems and solutions are both identified and recorded. Effectively manage all communication with import/ export logistical partners and domestic couriers. Oversee customs compliance, including managing inward processing.
The Candidate:
Candidate ideally should have 2-5 years in a procurement environment with experience in inventory management, stock control and logistics.
Must be highly computer literate particularly with ERP and Excel. Strong planning and analytical skills with the ability to collate and analyse data for decision making. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders. Knowledge of Customs clearance import and export procedures. Ability to utilize own initiative with strong problem solving and decision-making ability. Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
