Accounts Assistant Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in payroll and financial administration, with strong knowledge of payroll processes, taxation, and relevant legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration: Process weekly payroll for approximately 100 staff, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations (including PAYE and PRSI returns).
Financial Reconciliation: Perform bank and income reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
Overseeing Financials: Monitor the financial aspects of the company, providing insights and reports as required.
Budgeting: Assist in the preparation and compilation of annual budgets, ensuring financial planning aligns with company goals.
Invoicing & Debt Collection: Manage invoicing processes and oversee debt collection to ensure timely payments from clients.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with payroll-related taxes and statutory obligations, including PAYE, PRSI, and other government returns.
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounts or payroll role.
* Strong knowledge of payroll processes, taxation (PAYE/PRSI), and relevant legislation.
* Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with payroll software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, etc.).
* Knowledge of financial reporting and budget preparation.
* Experience in debt management and collections.
