Manager/Senior Manager - Business Advisory & Outsourcing - The British Virgin Islands
We are seeking a talented professional to join our client’s Business Services & Outsourcing (BSO) and advisory team as a Manager / Senior Manager at one of the leading accounting firms in the British Virgin Islands. In this role, you will work closely with the businesses that drive the BVI economy - ambitious, entrepreneurially spirited, and high-growth enterprises - providing strategic financial insights and advisory support to their owners and management teams.
The scope of the role is very diverse from getting involved in technology risk services and IT transformations to providing AML compliance and enterprise risk management to a diverse range of small and medium-sized enterprises in a variety of industries consisting of hotel/hospitality, real estate, retail, restaurants, and jewellers. Please note that the job location is the British Virgin Islands and would be an on-site role on a 1.5-2 year minimum contract (promotions and pay raises can occur during the contract). A relocation and work permit package would be provided.
Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Leverage your knowledge of client business drivers and technology to design customized management reports and KPI dashboards tailored to their needs.
* Review and approve work prepared by the team, addressing any arising issues to ensure high-quality service delivery.
* Stay up to date with market trends and engage with senior business leaders on a wide range of financial and operational topics.
* Utilize expertise in finance and accounting functions to advise clients on best practices and propose solutions to complex financial challenges.
* Identify and escalate significant corporate governance concerns as appropriate, ensuring clients adhere to best practices and regulatory requirements.
* Lead and contribute to ad hoc projects within the department, supporting process improvements and business growth initiatives.
The requirements
* 6 - 8 years (manager) or 8 - 10 years+ (senior manager) of experience in accounting and/or audit.
* Must have strong IT skills. Proficiency in CaseWare, Xero (or QuickBooks) is highly recommended.
* Strong knowledge of IFRS / IFRS for SMEs and a solid understanding of AML regulations.
* A proactive leader with outstanding management, communication, and organizational skills.
