The Team at O'Hanlon & Farrell Contracts Ltd have promoted the company as one of Northern Ireland's long established Building Contractors with nearly 40 years of valuable experience within numerous sectors, including the Industrial, Commercial and Domestic Construction sectors, throughout Ireland and the UK.
We are recruiting experienced Site Managers for a permanent position based on Site in North Dublin for immediate start, where you will take ownership & be responsible for the following key items:
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for all elements of SHEQ on site including ensuring all operatives are working safely on site & adherence to HSA rules & regulations.
2. Working closely alongside the Contracts Manager to adhere to the construction programme including the effective sequencing of the various trades on site to maximize quality and minimize reworking, while monitoring resources, labour, plant, site set-up and other overheads.
3. Liaising with clients and reporting on daily progress, professional staff (such as Design Team Members, Key Project Staff & Utility Providers).
4. Supervising on-site contracted staff & daily management of Sub-Contractors & Labour Staff.
5. Making daily safety inspections and ensuring construction and site safety is always adhered to.
6. Preparing site reports for reporting back progress to Contracts Manager & ensuring that all works are being completed on time, cost & quality basis.
7. Monitoring the progress of work to meet weekly & monthly deadlines.
8. Ensuring work processes meet ROI building regulations.
9. Responsible for material take-off measures from site, in conjunction with the Company Buyer, to ensure that all materials are on site in a timely manner to meet the Build Programme.
10. Liaising with Design Team members for accurate collation of BCAR Handover & Compliance Documentation in conjunction with the Contracts Manager.
11. Being proactive on site to spot any design clashes & liaising with all parties to deal with these efficiently without impacting the progress of the works on site & Build Programme.
Experience:
1. Demonstrable experience in dealing with Local Authority Connections i.e.: Storm Water Connections into Local Authority Main line provisions.
2. Demonstrable experience of Irish Water (Uisce Éireann) requirements for installations & connections of new Watermain & Foul Line provisions.
3. Demonstrable experience in the delivery of Precast Frame Apartments & Residential Housing Schemes.
4. Experience in the delivery of RC Foundations including proficiency in Rebar Schedules.
5. Proficient in the collation of QA checks on-site from Sub-Structure to Superstructure & Internal Fit Out packages.
6. Experience in Timber Frame Residential would be beneficial.
Requirements:
1. Candidates should have 10+ years Site Management experience.
2. Strong knowledge of Precast Residential Apartment Schemes.
3. First Aider trained & relevant CSR/CSCS Trainer to Site Manager Level.
4. Ability to work on own initiative.
5. Self-motivated and dedicated to meet weekly and monthly targets.
6. Analytical and decision-making skills.
7. Proficient with MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and industry-specific software.
8. Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
9. Experience in Precast Concrete Residential Projects essential.
10. Experience in Irish Water Regulations & Compliance Legislations.
11. Valid Driving License.
