Financial Accountant Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our client's Finance team in West Cork, Ireland.
The Role
* Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with local accounting standards (Irish GAAP or IFRS).
* Manage the preparation of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
* Ensure timely and accurate reporting to management, including variance analysis.
* Record all transactions, including sales, purchases, inventory movements, and finance transactions.
* Review and process sales invoices, purchase invoices, and credit notes.
* Maintain the chart of accounts and ensure proper coding and classification of transactions.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and receipts.
* Coordinate stock audits and ensure compliance with internal controls for inventory management.
* Prepare monthly stock reconciliations and report on variances.
* Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with Irish VAT regulations.
* Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
* Prepare for internal and external audits by ensuring records and documentation are complete and accurate.
Requirements
* Professional Accounting Qualification.
* 3 Years PQE Experience.
* Knowledge of ERP Systems.
* Proficiency in Excel.
* Able to meet strict deadlines in a timely and efficient manner.
