Are you an experienced Test Manager looking for your next opportunity? We are seeking a skilled professional to lead software testing efforts for a high-impact project in Galway.
Contract: 12 months (with potential extensions – up to 2 x 6 months)
Work Mode: Hybrid (2 days onsite per week)
Role Overview:
As a Test Manager, you will lead software testing for the CoVIS system, ensuring high-quality production software through structured test management, collaboration with stakeholders, and strategic oversight of test execution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage all testing activities through the SDLC, including functional integration testing, regression testing, and UAT
2. Oversee the design, execution, and maintenance of test plans, scenarios, and scripts
3. Ensure performance, stress, and volume testing is conducted and findings are actioned
4. Maintain a requirements traceability matrix throughout the test phase
5. Drive communication between testing, business analysis, architecture, and development teams
6. Manage resource planning and release work schedules
7. Coordinate with third-party vendors on testing requirements
8. Manage testing risks, issues, and defect tracking from logging to resolution
9. Chair test review meetings and provide test status reports to stakeholders
10. Ensure proper documentation and SharePoint management
Mandatory Requirements (Pass/Fail):
1. Experience: Minimum 4 years in a software testing role
2. Driving Licence: Full Irish Driving Licence
3. English Proficiency: C2 Mastery or equivalent certification
4. Experience in test planning, execution, and reporting for complex IT systems
5. Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP Webservices, Postman, and SoapUI
6. Hands-on experience with test management tools like Azure DevOps, Bugzilla, Jira, or equivalent
7. Experience in managing test environments, identifying defects, and troubleshooting production issues
8. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
9. Ability to work independently and lead a team
