Person in Charge (Clinical Nurse Manager 2/Social Care Leader)
Cork City Area – 2 x Positions (1 Fixed Term & 1 Permanent)
The successful applicants will be required to work in progressive and dynamic environments supporting people with an intellectual disability and/or autism.
He/she will be required to work as a Person in Charge and will have responsibility for leading teams within these residential settings.
Remuneration: Salary scales are in line with the HSE Consolidated pay scales for Social Care Leader & Clinical Nurse Manager 2.
Social Care Leader: €55,793 to €65,155, a 7 point pay scale.
Clinical Nurse Manager 2: €60,854 to €76,897 an 11 point pay scale.
Requirements: Not less than five years post registration experience to include a minimum of three years' experience in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care
Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience etc. Be on the live register of the NMBI (Nursing applicants)

Hold professional registration, or be eligible for registration, on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU. See list of recognised Social Care qualifications at:

OR Have a comparable qualification recognised by Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU. OR Applicants who satisfy the conditions set out in Section 91of the Health and Social Care Professionals Act 2005 (see note 3 below*) must submit proof of application for registration with the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU. The acceptable proof is correspondence from the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU confirming their application for registration as a Section 91 applicant was received by 30th November 2025. OR Provide Proof of Statutory Registration on the Social Care Workers Register maintained by the Social Care Workers Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued. This is a qualification listed in Schedule 3 of the Health and Social Care Professions Act 2005 for existing practitioners under section 91.
Candidates who hold Schedule 3 qualifications can apply to register with CORU during the two-year period after the register opens up to the 30th November 2025.
Once the transitional period is over -30th November 2025, only qualifications approved by the Registration Board will be considered.

AND b) Candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
AND Have a management qualification or be willing to undertake an appropriate course on commencement of employment Be computer literate Focused on Horizons vision around community based, self- directed, rights-based supports for people Be adaptable and flexible in their approach to the working environment Ability to develop a person-centred culture, focused on individualised supports A comprehensive knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, including team leadership and team working, time management, budget management, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. An ability to organise, manage and motivate people and to liaise with Parents/Families and Stakeholders Good working knowledge of relevant policy particularly "A time to move on from congregated settings" A full driver's licence is essential with access to own vehicle The normal working hours will be 37.5/39 hours per week (depending on qualification) however, flexible hours, including participating in a duty roster is involved.
