The UPS Healthcare Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the activities within the UPS Healthcare Accounting team located in Dublin and support global UPS Healthcare business units as well as the third-party accounting vendor, who is completing transactional accounting work on behalf of UPS.
Job duties:
1. Support global healthcare business units with record-to-report (R2R) activities, including hands-on approach in preparation of journals and reconciliations setup
2. Support global healthcare business units with specialised accounting areas (such as leases, Fixed assets, Intercompany, Cost Accruals, etc)
3. Perform control checks during the close & remediation of errors
4. Review and approval of third-party accounting vendor activities such as journal entries and reconciliations
5. Perform system to system reconciliations where applicable and provide feedback to stakeholders
6. Manage reporting and stakeholder communication
7. Identification and resolution of risks in a timely manner
8. Prepare monthly variance explanations for SOX purposes
9. Work collaboratively with Accounting, Finance and other stakeholders to resolve issues
10. Support migration of in scope R2R work to centralised processes
11. Provide overall department support and assist with ad hoc needs and requests

19. Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting discipline
20. Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or relevant experience
