Job Title: Transport & Warehouse Manager
This role offers an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our Operations Team as a Transport & Warehouse Manager. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for overseeing transport and warehouse operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries while maintaining regulatory compliance, particularly with hazardous product handling.
About the Role:
In this senior position, you will lead a team of logistics professionals in managing relationships with warehouses in Ireland, the Netherlands, and the UK. You will work closely with customer service to provide accurate delivery estimates and ensure smooth order fulfillment.
* Manage warehouse relationships in Ireland, the Netherlands, and the UK to ensure efficient order management and timely shipments.
* Collaborate with customer service for accurate delivery estimates and smooth order fulfilment.
* Enforce SLAs and conduct regular stock reconciliations and inventory audits to ensure performance aligns with company goals.
Key Responsibilities:

* Overseeing transport costs, ensuring efficiency while maintaining service quality.
* Developing strategies to reduce transport costs through partnerships and operational improvements.
* Managing haulage providers, ensuring SLAs and performance systems are in place and monitor expenses for cost-saving opportunities.
* Ensuring compliance with hazardous product transportation, handling, and storage regulations.
* Processing transport documents (e.g., invoices, CoAs), resolving discrepancies, and ensuring Safety Data Sheets (SDS) comply with legislative requirements.
* Developing and enforcing safety procedures for hazardous product transportation and storage.
* Creating a performance framework for service providers, establishing clear key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Building strong relationships with partners to improve service levels, efficiency, and cost control.
* Regularly assessing and optimising service provider performance to meet business objectives.

* Proven experience in managing transport and warehouse operations, ideally within distribution.
* In-depth knowledge of hazardous product handling and regulatory compliance in logistics.
* Expertise in stock management, stock reconciliation, and cost control.
* Demonstrated experience in negotiating and implementing SLAs.
* Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with Sage or similar systems is a plus.
