We are seeking to recruit a Staff Grade Physiotherapist to join our Physiotherapy team. This post would be an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified Physiotherapist to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a busy inpatient setting. The caseload primarily consists of a range of patients who have been discharged from acute and private hospitals. This is a satisfying post that involves working alongside patients to facilitate their return to home while optimising their quality of life. These patients include orthopaedic, neurology, care of the elderly and respiratory patients. The post holder would work as part of a dynamic Physiotherapy team with a broad range of experience.
Primary Job Responsibilities
1. To deliver a high-quality clinical service of inpatient rehabilitation physiotherapy as part of the multidisciplinary team.
2. To develop inpatient group exercise and education classes e.g. falls prevention classes.
3. Liaising with family members and acute services where indicated.
4. To ensure appropriate record keeping and electronic patient record maintenance.
5. To work to the standards of evidence-based management in treatment of patients.
6. To communicate with members of the MDT and wider community services when planning discharges.
7. To work with a wider Physiotherapy team in providing a quality service that is committed to ongoing learning and CPD forums.
8. To supervise student Physiotherapists when on placement.
9. To provide rehabilitation to long-term care residents where indicated.
Qualifications And Experience
* Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree or equivalent.
* Candidate must be a member of CORU and the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists or eligible for membership.
* Dry Needling and hydrotherapy experience preferable.
* Suitable for a new graduate.
