About the Role:
As StoryToys expands its portfolio of experiences to include family games and experiences for kids 7 and older, as a Producer you will play a crucial role in driving the development and success of our apps, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards and deliver exceptional value to our audience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Product Vision and Strategy: Develop a clear and compelling vision for company products, aligning with the company's overall mission and objectives. Formulate a product strategy that balances creativity, entertainment, and educational value to cater to the needs of our young audience.
* Requirements Gathering: Conduct thorough market research and gather insights from target users, parents, and educators to identify trends, preferences, and pain points. Translate high-level product concepts into clear and concise user stories, complete with detailed acceptance criteria.
* Stakeholder Management: Persuade, engage, and motivate the entire team (internal and external alike) to rally around a product vision, guiding all creative sessions. Present and get alignment internally with other functions (commercial, finance, production) on the product direction and individual releases.
* Budgeting Responsibility: Manage the product development budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to meet project objectives. Collaborate with the Chief Product Officer and finance team to track expenses and make data-driven decisions to optimize budget utilization.
* Regulatory Compliance & Risk Mitigation: Stay up to date with industry regulations and guidelines concerning children's apps, ensuring that our products comply with all relevant laws and standards.
What You'll Need:
* Proven experience, with 5+ years as a Producer or in a related role within the mobile app development industry, with a focus on children's or teen's apps and/or branded IP being a plus.
* Somewhere familiarity with child development, learning principles, and user behavior in the context of children's apps.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and external parties.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven and customer-centric approach to decision-making.
* Possession for creating high-quality, educational, and entertaining experiences for children and families.
* Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.
* Knowledge of app store guidelines and regulations related to children's apps is desirable.
