Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week) Mon - Fri 9am to 5pm
Location: The Society operates a hybrid working model with a combination of remote and in-person (Dublin 4 office) working.
Office attendance days are Wednesday & Thursday.

We're looking for a Head of Brand and Marketing to join our team.
As Head of Brand and Marketing, you will be responsible for promoting the work and services of the Irish Cancer Society and maintaining our brand positioning.

What you'll do Strategy You will be responsible for the operations management of the day-to-day activities of the department, which consists of the digital team and the design team.
Maintain the Irish Cancer Society brand positioning and ensure consistent use of materials and tone of voice across all platforms.
Manage and brief agencies to ensure media and creative spend is optimised and in the best interests of the organisation.
Work with the Fundraising team to ensure all fundraising marketing activity is measurable and impactful, and deliver regular updates for board and senior management on the ROI of each campaign.
Work in partnership with other departments to ensure the Irish Cancer Society remains a top-of-mind health charity.
Remain up to date on marketing trends and how to best deliver on the Irish Cancer Society's overall mission.
Lead the research, creation, and production of all major Irish Cancer Society marketing campaigns.
Ensure that these campaigns are managed efficiently, on target, and within budget.
Oversee policies and procedures to ensure the effective running of the Society's digital channels, including the Irish Cancer Society website and social media channels.
Lead the Society's in-house design resource to ensure effective management of resources, high standards of outputs, and deliver cost efficiencies wherever possible.
You will work closely with the communications team to manage the output of Irish Cancer Society messaging across all channels.
You will consistently drive and measure the Society's audience engagement and key brand metrics.
Work to deliver an updated digital fundraising strategy.
Content and Editorial Oversight Ensure the planning, delivery, and day-to-day maintenance of high-quality, accurate, and up-to-date content for the Irish Cancer Society.
Ensure consistency of style in the Society's online presence and all communications.
Oversee all digital content published using Drupal Content Management System and other platforms.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date content across all the Irish Cancer Society web presences.
Assist with the planning of new content in conjunction with stakeholders.
Ensure web pages are authored with a high regard for Search Engine Optimisation and visibility, and to produce clear, engaging, and innovative content that adheres to best online practices and supports the needs of the Irish Cancer Society, its supporters, and service users.
Create and oversee the content production process and schedule for publishing across the organisation.
Work closely with the Education and Engagement Team to improve, update, and innovate the Society's cancer information to ensure that patients and the general public get the most from their online engagement with the Society.
Work closely with any other departments as required to help them produce and maintain both online and print content.
Vendor Management Manage external vendors in relation to the design and running of the website, campaigns, content, marketing materials, and media buyers.
Manage 3rd party tools associated with audience engagement and social media.
Source, co-ordinate, and supervise external producers where commissioned content is required and approved.

You have an analytical and measured approach to marketing and understand the value of engagement with our audiences from service users to donors and fundraisers.
You have content generation experience and can help the team in the creation of innovative creative strategies and campaigns.
In-depth knowledge of GDPR and data privacy regulation.
You have experience managing departmental budgets and media buying.
Your Qualifications and Experience Educated to degree level in Computer Science, Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, or a related field with 5+ years of experience.
Proven experience of creative and technical skills through a portfolio of work.
Strong experience in journalism, copywriting, or related writing experience.
Knowledge of accessibility guidelines and an understanding of best practice in usability.
Strong understanding of how search engines work and optimising content for search engines.
Some knowledge of HTML, CSS, and how websites work.
Experience in directly editing and publishing online content using Drupal or similar Content Management System.
Experience of working on websites of more than 1,000 pages.
Experience in content creation for social media.
Proficient in the core activities of website maintenance, in particular publishing using a Content Management System, and QA.
Highly skilled in MS Office applications.
Qualification in marketing, journalism, multimedia, web management, or social media.
Experience with Google Analytics, information architecture, and user testing.
Experience with multimedia content including video and photos.
Experience with data protection and privacy laws and best practice.
Experience with email newsletter creation.
