Business Development Actuary - Dublin

Prudential International Assurance, part of the M&G group, is looking for an actuary to join our dynamic and fast-paced proposition team.
This role involves developing new propositions that meet customer needs, provide value for money, and achieve the commercial ambitions of Prudential International.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ownership of Product Development: Take full ownership of product development processes, from initial idea creation through to development and successful launch.
* Initiative and Proactivity: Demonstrate a high level of initiative and proactivity, identifying opportunities and driving projects forward with minimal guidance.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Liaise effectively with relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless product development and launch.
* Problem Solving: Address challenges and obstacles independently, finding innovative solutions to ensure project success.
* Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve product development processes and outcomes, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
The Business Development Actuary will work under the Head of Proposition and Product Pricing, taking ownership throughout the innovation, development, and execution stages of various product developments and enhancements. They will work closely with colleagues across the wider business to provide solutions that allow developments to reach the market in a timely fashion.
You will ideally have:
* An actuarial qualification, with commercial/product development exposure, or be an individual who is qualified by experience with a background in a Life Company.
* Broad knowledge of life products, including Investment Bonds, markets, and competitors.
* Experience in the offshore market would be advantageous.
* Practical working knowledge of the regulatory and legislative requirements relevant for financial product design and management, ideally for both European and UK markets.
* Strong technical skills.
* Experience of taking initiatives through internal governance, including working closely with Risk and Compliance functions.
* A demonstrable ability to provide solutions to develop and implement strategic initiatives, product/customer-related regulations, and/or product launches.
* Experience of influencing a broad range of stakeholders from different functions.
* Passion for the customer.
* Effective written and presentation skills.
* Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team player.
* Self-motivated with an ability to actively manage your time, multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
